Carolyn Cyrana joined the International Justice Resource Center as a law fellow in September 2017. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School with a Parker School Certificate in Foreign and Comparative Law. She served as a staffer on the Human Rights Law Review and Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Public Policy Studies with general Honors.
During her time in law school, Carolyn interned internationally with the Legal Resources Centre in Grahamstown, South Africa, where she worked on access to education, and with Vaša Prava BiH in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she worked on refugee rights and Roma rights. She also interned in New York with the International Legal Foundation and the Legal Aid Society.
