Danielle Hites joined the International Justice Resource Center as a law fellow in September 2015. She received her J.D. from Boston University where she completed the International Law Concentration with honors. She received her B.A. in psychology at Suffolk University.
Prior to joining IJRC, Danielle worked as a research assistant for the Alliance for the Rule of Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. In this capacity, she is co-authoring a forthcoming book on the intersection between gender, poverty, and access to justice.
While at Boston University, Danielle was a student attorney in the International Human Rights Clinic. Danielle jointly produced a report on protection gaps for Syrian refugees in the main receiving nations and the need for global burden sharing. As part of the project, she conducted field research in Jordan. Danielle also interned at Lawyers for Human Rights, where she represented refugees and migrants in South Africa in asylum cases and to ensure their access to basic rights, such as education and health. As a summer intern at the Coalition for the International Criminal Court in Morocco, Danielle was involved in public policy research and written advocacy to promote the rule of law in the Middle East and North Africa.
