Haley Pedersen joined IJRC as a Human Rights Fellow in February 2016. She holds a B.A. in global studies from California State University, Monterey Bay.
Prior to joining IJRC, Haley interned with the Sierra Club, where she contributed to various social justice and environmental campaigns throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Haley then worked with the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development where she contributed to research and advocacy aimed at advancing women’s specific needs and demands in international decision-making processes. She worked extensively on promoting the voices of women from the Asia Pacific region in the international climate negotiations at COP 20 in Lima, Peru. She also contributed to efforts to promote the development of a binding instrument of international human rights law to regulate the activities of transnational corporations and respond to the needs of effected communities.
