Namita Gupta joins the International Justice Resource Center after working in New York for the six years as a Senior Staff Attorney at Mental Hygiene Legal Service, a state agency dedicated to protecting the civil rights and civil liberties of individuals with mental illnesses. She has also interned in the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal of the Former Yugoslavia, the Center for Constitutional Rights where she focused on Alien Torts Statute litigation, the American Civil Liberties Union Washington Legislative Office, and Lutheran Family Community Services Refugee and Immigration Program in New York. She graduated from Cornell Law School with a concentration in Public Law, and earned a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from the University of California, Los Angeles.
