The International Justice Resource Center (IJRC) is a human rights organization based in San Francisco, California, USA. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, incorporated in Massachusetts and also registered in California. Our website is https://ijrcenter.org.

IJRC values the privacy of our donors, partners, online visitors, and all those with whom we interact online. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and we will never sell or rent your information to anyone. We will not use your personal information for any purpose other than communicating with you, sharing news and information about our work, or soliciting your support. You may unsubscribe from an IJRC mailing list and may opt to remove your information from our lists at any time by sending an email to ijrc@ijrcenter.org.

How IJRC Collects Data

IJRC does not collect personal data from people who simply visit or use our website. You can browse ijrcenter.org and download IJRC’s materials without revealing to us your identity or any personal information.

IJRC collects information from online visitors and donors on a limited and voluntary basis. We collect personal information, provided to us directly from the individual, through the following interactions:

  • Online sign-ups to our email newsletters (via MailChimp or Bloomerang)
  • Online sign-ups to receive News Room emails (via WordPress)
  • Online sign-ups to the IJRC Daily newsletter (via Paper.li)
  • Online and printed forms to register for, attend, or sign in at an IJRC event
  • Online donations, on multiple platforms (including PayPal, Stripe, and Razoo)
  • Responses to our surveys
  • The contact form on our website

Types of Information IJRC Collects

The types of personal information we collect, when provided to IJRC by an individual, can include:

IJRC uses several third-party communication tools. These third parties may also collect and store your data, in accordance with their own privacy policies, available at the following links: MailChimp, Paper.li, SurveyMonkey, and Bloomerang.

In addition, IJRC maintains several social media pages (such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and media content sites (such as Vimeo and YouTube). We do not control the collection or use of any data collected from visitors to those sites, which is subject to the relevant companies’ privacy policies.

The third-party services we use to process donations, including PayPal and Stripe, collect additional personal information, such as credit card details, which we have no access to and no control over. That data is subject to those third parties’ privacy policies.

How IJRC Uses Your Data

IJRC does not share, sell, or rent the personal data and non-personal data that we collect, except in the circumstances outlined in this policy. Our ordinary use of this data is limited to tailoring and improving our services, communicating with you, sharing information and invitations with you, requesting feedback and other information from you, and soliciting your support for IJRC’s work.

Except as necessary to comply with the law or a legal process, IJRC will not disclose the personal data that we collect. Third party service providers that also collect or have access to this data are not subject to IJRC’s privacy policy.

Cookies & Embedded Content

IJRC uses services that rely on cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze non-personal information about the use of our website and other online platforms. The IJRC website uses cookies from: Google Analytics, ShareThis, and McAfee Security.

The IJRC website features embedded content, including images and videos, from other websites. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Your Consent to Communications

IJRC sends e-mail messages and newsletters to our users. If you no longer want to receive such emails from us going forward, you may opt-out via the “unsubscribe” link provided in each such email.

Personal Information of Minors

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, and we request that children under 13 not provide personal information to us online.

International Cross-Border Data Transfer

IJRC uses servers hosted in the United States. Please note that we may be transferring your information outside of your region for storage and processing in the United States and around the globe. By using our website and other online platforms, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country.
